If you visit my blog... This is the day... you will read about my sweet granddaughters and their fun times. They also love horses (now I know why they want to be Vets' when they grow up!)...so for one of the girls we chose cowboy/cowgirl fabric in making her a new dress. Adding the fringe was so much fun...it just made it complete, and in my ribbon box...there it was, a small rope! PERFECT!
This pattern is so simple and fun.

I made both the girls the same dress, only reversed the fabrics. One in pink with black polka dots and the other black with pink polka dots. They looked adorable going to church Sunday in their new dresses.
I have another one to make this week...a cute pink, white and black plaid. Now my imagination is soaring.
A poodle on the skirt?
We'll think on that one...an applique definitely would make this a special dress, maybe a nice black satin ribbon or bow.
My next post...helping my daughter make a disappearing nine patch QUILT!
Thank you for stopping by...please leave any creative suggestions...they are always welcome!

I love the fringe and rope on the cowgirl dress... how creative! You are always really good at "accessorizing" the things you make. I like the idea of a black satin ribbon on the plaid dress, that sounds like it would be really lovely.
First--do you know my mom had a thing for Sailor dresses---we all had to start school, kindergarten, in a sailor dress...my sisters and I !!!
I think it is great that you are making such pretty things for your granddaughters....they are so cute, Hope...
