Love filled Sewing

I'm taking time in the next few weeks to sew for two of my g'daughters. I love this very simple pattern. It makes up so cute. When my daughter was visiting in the Spring we made this pattern in two, reversed pink/black polka-dots.

This one in the photo is an adventure! I am hoping it will be as cute as I imagine...

a European "Swiss" look...you know Heidi of the Alps!

(actually as I type this post- I have it nearly done- Cute!)

Gus (my wonderful Schnauzer..wanted to SEE what was keeping me so busy)

I was given this fabric sometime ago by a sweet quilting friend...they seemed the perfect combination for my creative idea! I added green checked straps and plan to purchase some large green buttons. Debating on ric rac trim?

The next jumper will be a little on the dressy side...I made the gathered flower to either put on the jumper or might be cute glued to a black headband!!

I am also thinking of putting a appliqued poodle on the skirt. We'll see.

I find so much pleasure in sewing for my g'daughters, imagining them wearing what I've made. I can still recall the first handmade dress I was given. It meant so much to me. I hope my g'daughters remember these dresses when they are older...and the time Nana spent using her Creative Heart...for them.

Blessings...

Creative Photography

My new Nikon COOLPIX camera has opened doors of adventure!

I worked in a camera shop in my youth and didn't really appreciate how much fun I could have had..I missed out!!

At the time, the camera shop was a job; a means by which I could own my car and pay the gas and insurance! Survival of the....youth! New clothes? Are you kidding. I struggled to pay .25 a gallon in gas prices!!!

Okay..lets not go there...back to PHOTOGRAPHY!!!

I now, enjoy this as a hobby and My Creative Heart begins to seek out anything and everything to Photograph! You aren't like that in the least, are you?

So if you will...I'd like to take you on a little photo op!

I love the birds that frequent my yard. Their lively songs brighten the mornings.

This little guy is hilarious...cocked his head at just the right moment!

Then there is the photo op at the local beach! Feet of some little ones!! One of each kid. Two boys and one girl...Can you guess who's is who's?

I wasn't kidding when I said ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!! He was just too cute to pass up!

And then my most favorite subject...GUS.

and his best ever!!

Blessings..

Counting My Blessings

Some of you may recognize this little wooden basket...Pam at Good News From A Far Country (Estonia) posted about the lady that makes this craft.

I am privileged to own one! I received this wonderful surprise in the mail this week; along with a thimble to add to my collection.

I love how the blonde wood matches my hutch perfectly! Right now I am admiring the workmanship...but soon,it may hold bobbins or buttons~

Pam is my "Daughter in the LORD" We met several years ago and our fellowship grew closer as we spent quality time together sharing our walk with the LORD. When she moved we continued to keep in touch and even with the years and miles apart...she has been an ever present blessing in my life...and we have actually grown closer.

It is amazing how the fellowship in Christ gives us a bond that none can know but those truly born again. There is a peace, and like mindedness that brings to light the desires of ones heart that is shared on both sides. Fellowship in Christ is so very sweet.

Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. KJV 1611
