Bloom Where You Are Planted

Okay..I couldn't stand it any longer...another SNEAK PEEK at my Ladies Luncheon decor!

"Bloom Where You Are Planted"
is the theme.

I ADORE the colors here...and Gerber Daisies are just so cheerful!

The luncheon is next Saturday and we have all seats filled...50.. and some of these filled by friends I have not seen in years! It is going to be an exciting time for many of us. One couple is going to be staying in my home...Janie,a very dear friend whom I met when I first became a Christian. She helped me so much in my baby steps of walking with the LORD.

Our menu is going to consist of:
Sliced Ham
B'BQ Meatballs
Chicken salad on Croissants
Potato Salad
Cranberry Salad
Two Vegetarian Dishes
Vegetable platter with Spinach dip
Fruit Platter and fruit dip
Cheese Balls with crackers
Desserts such as:
Punch Bowl Cake
Banana Pudding
Lemon Bars
Blue Berry Delight
and assorted "mini" desserts

Pink Lemonade and Iced Tea

My sweet friend Missy and I are going to sing a vocal together! A song that Deb from our KJV blog roll composed.

I won't be posting til after April 9th. We are also having a Special Meeting all week long. I'll post later also on that at THIS IS THE DAY.

Enjoy the colorful peek...see you soon with all the many BLESSINGS to share!

Sneak Preview

This is a sneak preview of something I am sewing for the Ladies Luncheon April 3. (the color is actually more vibrant than the photo shows)

I have been busy preparing all the decorations for the Luncheon... I'm so excited over the colors and flowers......very CHEERFUL!

We have around 45-50 ladies attending...

The afternoon consist of Opening Prayer and a song together as a group... a WELCOME where I usually share how the LORD's hand has been in the planning. Amazing how each year there is something of great significance that happens upon the luncheon by no doing of my own...THE LORD in it! AMEN. what a great confirmation of HIS blessings.

We then have an instrumental music special by a few of our own ladies and a devotional by a guest speaker... A vocal music special and then our luncheon with various yummy foods prepared by all the attendees (other than special invited "guest")...listening to soft hymns and classical music in the background we fellowship for a while and in the midst some testimonials then have another vocal music special ....song together again in closing and prayer.

The Program;

Last year was the County Fair Theme that was quite involved..we had a PIE (taste and presentation contest..count the cherry candies in the jar... and a homemade apron contest.

This years is focused more on a peaceful, cheerful setting with a special meaning.

I started a ladies monthly Bible study with a craft time afterwards..so each month after the meeting, I'll share with you the CRAFT we made..and hope with some instructions to follow. We have ladies in our group who are going to share some of their craft ideas as well..should be fun to look forward to each month. The first project in May is the HOPE-Totes..but I'll get photos of the different choices the ladies make and share those for "inspiring" ideas for you!!

Thank you for visiting!!! Have a Happy CREATIVE HEART day!!

Homemade gifts of LOVE

This is the latest of my Hope-totes. Sent to my daughter in law for her birthday. I've made several in the last month with so many birthdays in February!

Was everyone born in February???

I forgot to take pics of the other totes. They are so much fun...just with the Buttons alone! I have quite a collection now...so between SOCKS and BUTTONS now...I'm good to go with different styles.

It's funny now, how many people I have on the LOOK OUT for socks..now I need to put in orders for BUTTONS!!

I am limited to the choice in my area for the place mat colors...so the Buttons and the insert fabric have to make up the "personalized" part of the tote.

PLACE MAT LOOK OUT!!!!

Below is the fabric used for the insert. I thought is so cheery with the button colors.

I have to take a break from crafting for a time...planning and preparing for our Ladies Yearly Luncheon...and going through my radiation therapy.

If you'd like updates..you can read about my journey at my blog Watering Wells Of Hope.

If I don't post as often..you will know why!

The luncheon is April 3 so thereafter...I'll have some fun photos to share.

Blessings to all...
