HERE IS GUS!
This photo says it all. One handsome dog!
He is full of life.
A character of sorts and a push over for sure!
I'll post often about "Gus"...life is full with him around.
"Gustav" is his proper name
"Gus" for short
"Gus-Gus" when we call him in from outside...
and "COOKIE"! if we need him right away!
Strange how quickly he comes then??
We thought about calling him.."Bob the Barker"...
(some of you will catch on!)
and "Shadow" since he is behind me everywhere...But...somehow he needed a name of heritage..after all he is of German decent and so am I!
So, what better name than Gustav.
I'll post some photos on another post of "Gus" growing up. He came to live with us at the young age of 5 weeks!
How he has grown and given us happy happy days!

Oskar & I look forward to it. Oskar has his name because of his German heritage also. Oskar is the German spelling & Wilhelm is his middle name.
He had several quilts, I'll have to post those stories soon!

I love Gus!!! I got my husband a Maltese for his birthday. He is solid white and seemed really shy so we named him Shadow. I be glad when he learns his name. Until we can get his attention, we will never be able to teach him anything. We have had him a little over a week but don't seem to be making much progress.lol

I so enjoyed catching up on your blog! Gustav is a cutie! I loved the blue dinnerware and the dresses you made the girls! Life has been very busy, with mil living with us and adjusting to her alzheimers, and Praise God a new grandchild on the way any day now! God bless!
Aww, he's a cutie!
I can't get enough of that sweet Gus. Our poor Libby has had allergies or something this past week. She has scratched and scratched. I took her to the vet and she put her on antibiotics and that did the trick. She did this last fall too. Does Gus ever have problems like that?
