Bloom Where You Are Planted.. continued

This is an overall view of the table settings...Though not fully pictured here..each lady received gifts to take home. I always add the gifts the morning of the luncheon.

A mini bucket with hand crocheted dishcloth by several of our ladies..Me included, it was so much fun making these...

A Garden Poem book marker with poem on each side reflecting two Gardens

A Garden’s Delight
I walked along the garden path
Colors of blooms everywhere
Flowers of various sizes
Their lovely scent in the air
Each flower began as a seed
Just a tiny little grain
But with each day of growing
Its life began to change
It first opened up toward Heaven
And let the sun shine in
The dew drops of moisture
Nourished it within
Each bloom now has a special name
Unique all its own
A Daisy…Lilac…Buttercup
The Garden’s lovelies grown!

A Garden’s Delight
I walked along the garden path
Of God’s precious seed
I saw the beauty of the souls
Who saw salvation's need
Each a life all their own
From a baby on to be
Grownups making choices
For all Eternity
Each looked up toward Heaven
As the flower too had done
And sought the water of life
That Jesus alone gives one
Each also given a special name
Written in the Book of Life
They’ll dwell amongst the Lilies fair
In a garden of delight!

When the luncheon ended, each lady filled her mini bucket with the delicious jellybeans in the goblets holding the daisies. They nibbled on these during the luncheon as well..YUM!

Bloom Where You Are Planted!

Isn't this the cutest entry!

A dear friend helped put this together for me. I supplied the items and gave her a general idea of what I wanted. She found this piece of picket fence outside the church and bless her heart..took it upon herself to scrub it up...it didn't look bad scruffy but afterwards..I have to admit being a neat person..it looked much more "presentable"!

The "seeder" was brought in by our Pastor's wife..and the rest of the items were purchased at various stores as I saw them. (I was on the LOOK OUT for garden thingies...since Fall!) Seed packets...garden gloves...garden apron-given afterwards to my Pastors wife-who labours in their garden!)Large flowers to over hang the fence...All came together as planned. THANK YOU LORD!

The full entry photo here...shows garden tools and books with a hat and rocker..Imagine the time of refreshing sitting in the rocker reading up on the next lovely bouquet to plant.

Each year the Entry states our Theme....as does the center table.

I love using my tiered plate holders...they not only give height to the table..but also make a great centerpiece...I have fun every year decorating it with ribbon and flowers to match the color scheme. This year I found Gerber Daisy clip-ons that were perfect..no having to intertwine the stems and hide them! They matched the other long stemmed daisies..perfectly!

I asked one of our ladies to make "flower" cupcakes to put on the tiered holder...and how cute it made the presentation! We also scattered them about...like flowers blooming!

Thanks for stopping by ...I hope this inspires your next adventure in planning a luncheon or ladies get together!

...more to come from the...BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED... ladies luncheon!

Ladies Spring Luncheon 2010

WELCOME to the Bloom Where You Are Planted 2010 Ladies Luncheon!

I'll have to post this in several parts ..there is so much to share!

Each year I pick a THEME and Bible verse to match and display them on an easel.

It's amazing how FUN scrap booking paper is to work with. The lovely patterns in this packet were full of wonderful colors. This is Stampin' Up paper.

This green check was in a Martha Stewart Packet...

I also used rub ons for the wording and flowers. I just cut out what I wanted to use. EASY and look how cute..adding the ribbon was the final touch.

And...here is what I made to wear as Hostess...I gave you a peek at the fabric..remember?

I wore a white blouse and black skirt underneath.... it made the perfect outfit for a GARDEN themed luncheon.

...more to come!!

May your Garden bring forth fruit abundantly!!
